A real Highland Park treasure.

• Scott D. • Los Angeles, CA • A real Highland Park treasure. They do a great job of walking a fine line between a traditional neighborhood market offering basic groceries, while at the same time incorporating a selection of health food items like almond and coconut milk, kombucha juice, and some organic produce as well. The fresh juices are terrific and extremely affordable, and now they have a coffee bar. The wine and beer line has been expanded, and is great for a small store. And the Monte 52 Cafe inside makes great sandwiches, and breakfast all day. Finally, the people who run the store couldn't be nicer.

This place is phenomenal.

• The T. • Los Angeles, CA • This place is phenomenal- great organic produce and choice, but best of all is the deli counter. Everything is homemade and reasonably priced. the hummus and Mediterranean veg are AMAZING. They do intelligentsia coffee and have a juice bar too. Such an awesome local market.

This is a wonderful market.

• Madolin W. • Los Angeles, CA • This is a wonderful market. Great variety of food, from fresh smoothies and espresso drinks to produce (including some organic ;), meat, dairy, beer, wine, ice cream, fresh-cut fruit and salsa, chilled bottled drinks and pantry supplies, cookies and crackers, chocolate-dipped strawberries & bakery items, and any sundries you might need like toilet paper or batteries. One-stop shop in a corner market with the most welcoming, sincere staff.

The first person I met was Tai, juicing celery for me - and she has made sure everyone else there gives me the same great service. If owner Rana doesn't have what you're looking for, she will do her darnedest to get it for you. Although the deli at rear of store is separately owned, while you're at La Tropicana you can also conveniently pick up hot food and sandwiches at Monte 52. It's no wonder this store attracts such diverse clientele from all over the area. Highly recommended!

La Tropicana Market is a beacon of Light.

• Jennifer T. • Los Angeles, CA • La Tropicana Market is a beacon of Light in Highland Park. The owners Rana and Tim are so friendly and have truly created a welcoming atmosphere to their business and the neighborhood. They have an awesome juice bar, ice cream, bakery, deli and restaurant. The employees are friendly and go above and beyond in their servicing of the neighborhood. This market is setting a precendent for the neighborhood, and rest assured the rest of Monte Vista will start to catch up!
